mistakes

All I ever wanted was a word
But you never gave me even that
And I said I’d trust you with my world
Then you went and stabbed me in the back

And every knife you own has shed my blood I know, I know
That every part of me is careless, It’s my own

Mistake
Somebody forgive me for my mistakes
I’m still learning throw me back and I’ll break
And so far too many times my mistakes
leave me open, leave me bleeding

All I ever wanted was your hand
Blankets on a cold night in
Is that too much to ask
To feel your breath on my skin

And every time you look my way I know, I know
That every part of me is careless, It’s my own

Mistake
Somebody forgive me for my mistakes
I’m still learning throw me back and I’ll break
And so far too many times my mistakes
leave me open, leave me bleeding

And half of me wants something better, had of me cannot forget you
I’m to hopeful that maybe you’ll be, different from what last destroyed me
Underneath the surface if it’s what they say it is
I’m afraid you’ll end up being my next, my next

Mistake
Somebody forgive me for my mistakes
I’m still learning throw me back and I’ll break
And so far too many times my mistakes
leave me open, leave me bleeding
